Mrs. Rosa Louise Curtis, 74 a resident of 143 Brookside Lane, Oxford, North Carolina departed this life on Wednesday, November 28, 2012 at her home.
Rosa was educated in the Franklin County School System. She joined Greenfield Baptist Church as a child then later joined True Faith Fellowship Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Richard L. Jackson where she enjoyed singing in the choir until her health declined. In her leisure Rosa enjoyed attending singing programs. She was employed with Bob’s Barbecue for seventeen years, where she was well loved !!!!!! until her health declined.
Those left to cherish her memories include her husband, Jerry Dee Curtis of the home; one daughter, Carolyn Brown (Ronald) of Oxford, NC; one son Jerry Lee Curtis of Creedmoor, NC; one loving granddaughter, Katina Thomas of Oxford, NC; two great grandchildren, Sharicka Harris and Rod Thomas both of Oxford, NC; four great-great grandchildren, Jaziyah, Sharod, Jayden and Na’Shanti; one uncle, Burley Kearney (Helen) of Washington, DC; three sisters-in-law, Janet Hart (Sammy), Arlene Curtis, Mamie Curtis; three brothers-in-law, Roy Curtis, Bobby Curtis, Sidney Curtis and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
Funeral services will be conducted on Sunday, December 2, 2012 at 3:00 PM in the Betts Funeral Home Chapel with eulogy by Reverend Richard L. Jackson. Interment will follow in the Synama Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.
Viewing will be from 11:00 am - 6:00 pm Saturday at the Funeral Home.
The family will receive friends one hour before the service (2:00-3:00) on Sunday and other times at the home.
